how did he know she was on her way to see her lover?and if he could prove that then why would he stay with her when her family said he should move on.

Seemed like two stories

The whole piece with Linda did not seem to be part of the 'Office Politics' story. It could have been part of another story.

Well that didn't go off well.

And it sure didn't feel like a romance. There was just too little detail and the ending felt way too rushed. Kinda like wham, bam, thank you Ma'am. Not good.
