Even though Eve and her friend have talked about it, going is far different. This is all moving very quickly for a newbie. Your descriptions are very good. More of what she is thinking as things happen would be good.

If Eve had ear plugs in, then it would almost be impossible to hear the music at first. It runs about 15 minutes starting very slowly and very quietly. It repeats over and over again rising in tempo and decibel. Unless started over halfway thru the recording Eve could not have heard it as it could not have "flooded through the earplugs". Just a slight technical misrepresentation. The story is other wise enjoyable.
