Circumsion isn't a Jewish invention
The ancient Egyptians were circumsising long before the Jews even existed to mark manhood and for vleanliness reasons - they did it when the guy was an adolescent. It is a common practice in America to do it even when one isn't Jewish. Most American men are circumsised, compare that to the UK where circumsision for non-religioys reasons is relatively uncommon.
