Alina's Alien Encounter

Nicely done.

The use of "Alina" rather than pronouns was grating, but now I realize that it was to keep the gender unstated.

I didn't see the ending coming, even though I have seen that Twilight Zone "The Invaders" episode many, many times.

Very nice. The story is a perfect length for a quick hot, interesting read! Really enjoyed it!

"Alina"

This piece would have been MUCH better if almost every sentence did not start with the name "Alina" (the term that came to mind for me is one another commenter also used- grating). I think your readers can keep up with a story well enough to not be reminded of the characters name every other line lol. Other than that there were some fun and cool aspects to this story, especially the end with the surprise tail!

*sigh*

I would have enjoyed the twist at the end a whole lot more if Alina hadn't had so many clearly human physical traits. In fact, aside from her reptilian tail, what's the real difference between her and me? I love the irony of Man as Alien, though.
