In my opinion...

...Taxa and Bane both have perfectly rational reasons to either assassinate Gaelen to take the throne fro themselves.

Or set up the other to to take the fall in an unsuccessful coup attempt. With the result that Gaelen would purge all suspects, leaving either Taxa or Bane as the power behind the throne turning Gaelen into their puppet.

My suspicion all along has been that the Y'vori are Not alien to Earth. Perhaps what we used to call Elves or Faerie? Perhaps they fled Earth to avoid extermination at Human hands? Explain the bigotry permeating their modern culture? Help explain why they are stuck in a primitive royalist/feudalist system?

The Literotica admins can have odd opinions about how to categorize stories. Like the obsolete voting system, they just have no advantage to modernizing the genre.

What ever changes they make will be criticized by someone. Plus the long-time authors are emotionally invested in the present system and have a lot more influence with the admins than you or I.

Any major change to this site could result in loosing eyeballs count. That is how the admins get paid ! From the advertisers and they won't risk their paychecks for the gamble of common sense reforms.

lance seems more like a puppy in love and gaelin just doesnt seem reliable. he said his soul opened but never clarrified what he saw only that he wants her no matter what. i also felt uncomfortable and horrified at the school trip chapter and the ivori would have to do a lot to make any relationship palatable. uless gaelen starts showing some remorse towards humans its a no go for me. sorry on my phone :)

Writing 6/10 story 8/10. You really have to work on your writing cause it does put a damper on the story but I will keep on reading cause its really interesting and i cant wait to see what happens next.

I do like Lance but at the same time i like Gaelen in a different way. I am very curious as to whether or not Sebol and Gaelen's souls really did open and i don't think they told the truth.

This book has everything i love in a good story!

I am not a fan of lance or Galen at this point. Kiowa had such a visceral reaction to seeing what happened to the remains of her people and now in this chapter she is some weak little thing willing to be the princes play toy. He comes in and out of her life on a whim, alternately ignoring her and then pawing all over her. Wtf? What happened to the determined and challenging Kiowa? It seems that she has made a decision to be strong and fight for her people but her actions and especially her thoughts are not registering that. The story is written from her perspective and yet the only insights we are getting from her is that she has a crush on a cute boy. I would love to see more of her quiet strength return!

Yah, don't care much for lance or Gaelen either - waiting for some decent male lead to get introduced - maybe that will be Samson. all the author comments are pretty annoying as well....
