I would like to have seen more penance from Katy, and even more from Roger, although 5 million does ease some pain. At least Mark wasn't so sanctimonious that he would see the money from Roger as tainted. Reconciliation was kind of sudden, there could have been more tension in that section by having Mark have some serious screwing with other women for a while to get some of his back.

And what's to stop her from dumping him again?

Absolutely nothing. Next time it will probably be for a group of clowns from Barnum & Bailey Circus. Don't worry RAAC folks, he'll take her back every time. She must have a velvet cunt. If he can't live without her, don't marry her. Just keep her around for a regular fuck. When he does eventually find someone who really loves him, marry her and dump the cunt.

All idiots involved in this story were complete and utterly MORONS. Stupid of Roger to hit on Katy knowing she was engaged to be married. Stupid of Katy to think seeing Roger would not have an effect on her relationship with Mark. Stupid of Mark to even stick around to see what happens to Katy, and to end up marring her. STUPID to the end.

it's the sign of a good story where half the audience so reviles the ending they break out in a cold sweat. it was difficult to fathom his decision except to say "he loved her."

3/4 of the story seems to be good and well thought, but the end is just not realistic. Not only she humiliates him publicly and openly, but her actions triggered his painful beating at the hands of paid goons. On his own, he's able to find happiness in his life without her and the solution of the writer is to say, every woman is for sale. Sad premise. At the end, he is bought too it seems. The conclusion of the story is PATHETIC AND UNREALISTIC, oh and it doesn't make him less of a cuckold!!

Five Stars! Better Use of the English Language . . .

. . . Than many of the native American writers and most of the commenters here. If I understood one of the author's comments here, this was at least in part an English language writing exercise for a native German speaker! This was a hell of a lot better done than most of the papers I wrote while working for my Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature! And the best part, the author has another 60 stories filed away. Please release them to us!

As the author may have gathered, the commenters and ratings for "Loving Wives" fall into two main camps. The first is the ragged collection of rabid, misogynistic, Talibani freaks who would want to stone, then burn at the stake, then use Chinese Lingchi on the Virgin Mary for having had God impregnate her with Jesus Christ instead of her husband Joseph. That's how unforgiving and neolithic the BTB crowd is. These freaks are tying to force, threaten, intimidate, bully, badger, hound, harrass, excoriorate, and force anyone who does not adhere to their seventh century A.D. mindset that women are property who must be owned,used, and abused, by one and only one knuckle-dragging, male of the homo erectus species; to stop writing in "Loving Wives". These idiots think they are reading news reports, and the protagonist is their brother, who must be avenged if the woman is not more above suspicion than Caesar's wife! Then there is another group, who get their kicks from cuckoldry in all of its variants. Obviously, those who continue to write in that vein in "Loving Wives" are few in number and just like their particular form of sex, or really want to enflame and enrage the pre-human BTB bums.
Then there is a smaller group, who aren't really in either camp, but who enjoy reading adult stories. Unfortunately, their voices are drowned out by the knuckle-dragging, women haters. Try to ignore those fools as well as you can.

Some hopefully helpful comments about idiomatic American English. You'll get better as you write. Look at some of Winterfrog's earlier versus his later writings and see the increased flow of his language.

Ignore the fools here who complain by writing "should of", instead of "should have". The second is standard American English, the first is from some country bumkin whose parents and grandparents spent too much time breeding with their siblings and cousins, and who spent six years in first grade trying "to larn hisself some readin and writin", but who dropped out of first grade at age 16.

I'm fairly certain the idea that she could humiliate her fiancé in that fashion and still he would accept her back is ludicrous. I'm trying to think that maybe where you are from Men allow a woman to humiliate you and still be allowed to re-establish a new relationship then marry her. I don't know anyone from that part of the world so peopl may accept different things. I've seen this theme in another of your stories as if something similar may have happened before.
Many times where I'm from she'd stay kicked to the curb for a lot less humiliation she'd dished out. Tom would find away to dole out some type of pay back to the Roger and each of his goons. I would also like to see Lara suffer for her part in Rogers scam.
After all she at first she said she only wanted Tom when Katy was on his doorstep. Then she took money from Roger and dropped Tom like deceased twinky .
Only Roger paid anything and he paid what he did because he wanted to pay.
So Roger punished himself not Tom. Then Tom humiliated himself at the end of the story buy asking Katy to marry him. Even with a pre nuptials-agreement Tom is punished! In this story there's One dumb person Roger after getting what he wanted he tried to get her back with Tom! two greedy people Lara and the drafting company owner those people accepted money to betray Tom,one stupid person Tom he was plunked by his fiancé and, one Smart person Katy while engaged to Tom she had dinner twice with Roger fucked him then went on a trip to Paris and Fucked Roger some came back and told Tom how bad the fucking was and still got married toTom and even got a Mac Mansion on of the deal.

And if you figure a million for each Parisian fuck, there's the five million they're now both living on -- it's her fuckmoney any which way we view it -- the relationship produced it. We can all hope, however, that it's happily ever after, and not until some prominent dress manufacturer admires her shape and offers her a dress or two, if she'll come to London with him.

Now if he'd announced that he was now carrying a concealed weapon, so he hoped the two goons and their boss were well-insured, his reaction would be more comprehensible if not more rational. And let her go to London -- that's what she is even though Paris didn't quite work out as ... hoped? Did she bother even to hope? Or just assume?

"But this was my only chance to talk to an important man." - She's still not explaining why Mark couldn't be there, or even why he was ignored at that first meeting!

"And I was mad at you to refuse this" - He didn't "refuse", he was never INVITED, his "refusal" was asking you not to go!

Still can't go along with the reconciliation, this was worse than in "Guilty", at least in that one there was SOME justification for the split, as flimsy as it might be, but here it was just TOTAL disregard for his feelings.

I am impressed that you carried this off in English- all the commenters who complained about things should go try it themselves. Yes, it was a bit stilted but the sense of things came through. The BTB people on this site can never accept them getting back together, and it did say volumes about her character in what she did. Can a woman's bitchiness just disappear? Nope, but one can always hope. Good effort.

Only the author knows whether in time she is faithful .

Look she blew it for a trip to the rich life, so many rich people are not happy. It pays the bills, love is hard to keep going forever. Most marriage turn into a routeen ,I hope she finally realized what she lost ,that should keep her grounded.

Great Story as it stands ( but here are my quibbles )

First I want to give Megaprops to the author for so succinctly communicating how fast and how devastating it is when the rug is pulled out from under you. That part rings so absolutely true.I read and identify with the majority of that first page over and over again.

stev2244 deftly creates a hypereality after the narrator cancels the wedding where pain, grieving and healing for him happens in a very accelerated time frame. This paradigm has additional laws where a hitherto now beautiful self absorbed and grasping Katy realizes and repents of her stupendous miscalculation within a week. She keeps the torch burning for over a year instead of moving on to next man.

That's my main objection - strong willed women with looks on that level do languish , but not in perpetuity. I don't object to the reconciliation, but would have had it happen at least a decade from the breakup. Katy also isn't on the narrator's level in terms of accomplishments.

If I was talented enough to conceive and execute this story. Tom would have married a jazz songstress or female engineer. Katy gets advanced degree in education and becomes assistant principal. Tom's marriage goes south and Facebook brings the two together as true equals. But great story ( again ) as it stands. The charm and self effacement of all the characters ( Roger included ) and the steps they take to correct their errors bring me back over and over again.

I bet Katy is having a good laugh behind Mark´s back. She got away with what she wanted with Roger and now she´ś got Mark right where she wanted him. It´s all to suspicious. Who invited her to the event? How did she know Roger was a luminary just by him bumping into her? Because she started ignoring Mark even before Roger was called up to make his speech so she obviously knew Roger already she just wanted Mark to think it was spur of the moment. She texted him to tell him Paris was great. then when making her excuses she says it was terrible. If Roger was such a terrible lover, why go to Paris for some of the same sex with a terrible lover? Don´t make sense that Mark can be so gullible after making him look like such a shining star in the buisness and music world. I can understand a mistake but hers wasn´t she had this all laid out and planned beforehand she just invited Mark to the event to make it look like it was something out of the blue. Knowing she could lie herself into his good graces again.

Unbelievable

This story makes no sense. Guy is thoroughly humiliated by his fiancée who dates, sleeps and takes a vacation with another guy leaving him humiliated, forgotten, and discarded. He seems to be a decent engineer and musician, able to find his way in life without anybody's help. After he's able to overcome self doubts and moves on, he lets himself be bought by Mark indirectly, takes the cheating woman back and loves her again. The only messing thing is he being cuckolded again by Mark and he enjoining it. Unbelievable story. Sorry.

Not buying it

Interesting plot, but as usual in these kind of stories I don't buy her cheange of heart.
Mainly because shallow self centered sluts like her doesnt change overnight and just because. Did she go to a shrink? No. Did she talk with a friend, her parents? No and no. She just magically realized that she was wrong and changed.
Sorry not buying. You could had written that the fairy goodmother of reconciliation used her magtic wand on her and it would bemore believable that what you wrote.
