All Comments on 'Gods and Titans'

I need some context - as this story is a scene in the middle of a battle. I figure the "bad guys" are the demons, and humanity is good - but as the characters are not developed, it's hard to be drawn into the story, and care about (I'm guessing) the hero Cmd. Meridian. Or is it meant to be humanity's destruction?
