@Zed0 A non declared Open Marriage story with a big enourmouse PLOT HOLE.
The open marriage rule is to avoid the bastard production. Here the main character produced 1 son. Nancy would have divorced him, if she had know the bastard.
Here was the special circumtenses the boss secretary connection would be fraternazetion in big companies, so Alisha and the main character must hid private this connection from the firm and his wife alike.
If Alisha and the main character had not beeen job collegue the main character would have divorced his wife for helping her with his common son.
How he could hid this connection private was a miracle and the author could not explain well in the story, WHICH IS AN ENORMOUSE PLOT HOLE in the story!.
The guy starts out acting in favor of his family life with his kids, accepting his wife's affair but no longer being intimate with her. His conditions to her were hard and strict, but quite reasonable in light of her affair. But then he turns around and acts just as badly with his secretary. Then when his wife capitulates, he goes back to her leaving his lover to raise his son along with her older children as a single mom. Sure she is an exec now, but she is still alone to deal with 3 kids and the unquenchible libido he discovered and then stoked. He's the real villain in this tale.
Couldn't relate to this story. Not one realistic character in it. Plus it simply wraps up in a bubble of unbelievability and it leaves me a bit miffed.

I didn't really like it all that much.
However, I couldn't find any reason not to give it the 5 star rating I gave it. A few things are not plausible in my opinion but otherwise an excellent story.
your usually better than this. one of his conditions shouldve been to let her lover's wife know. ruin his happy life just like that asshole did to him.after he confronted her she started fucking her lover more. for 2 months she upped her affair. hell the next day instead of thinking about their confrontation she got dressed up and went and fucked her lover while he took the kids to the zoo.no way he should stay married to her after that. he didnt even make her get a new job. she got to see her lover every day. at the end he hinted he still fucked his "girlfriend" what does he think his wife is doing she still works with her lover. the only reason he thinks they stopped at all is because her lover said so (in a letter) he also seemed to hint that he could tell she had ended her affair. bullshit, he couldnt tell she started it so how can he now read her well enough to tell she ended it. he just takes it on faith. the only reason this didnt get a 1* is because he didnt go without sex and because he got a post-nup.
i was actually looking for a different resolution... an alpha male claiming both families, integrating the family groups and keeping everything in the open... changes the heading to Group Sex instead of Cheating Wife, but a lot more fun for the future...
Not your best or most plausible work. I didn't like that he started out concerned about his marriage and children and then immediately decided to go tit for tat and cheat with his secretary. I also found it to be too much that he has banging Alisha so many times during the week. When did they have time to get any work done? And given his wife's need to win any argument, I think she would have either followed him around (she had plenty of time as a college Professor) or hired a PI. Once she caught him, she would have filed for divorce (her need to win would have made that decision a no brainer). So while this was fairly well written, I found myself not enjoying it, especially the ending where he really is leading a polygamous lifestyle. What happened to Alisha's Aunt that was taking care of her kids? Why did he need to take care of all the kids? You don't think that made his wife even slightly curious? He might be happy, but I doubt very seriously that both women were happy with the outcome.
As far as “sexual harassment” goes, since SHE’S the one seducing HIM, sexual harassment hardly applies!
Why doesn’t she like the conditions? There is nothing there that should bother a FAITHFUL wife!
So, she masturbated in her office with the door unlocked, and a colleague walks in through her closed office door without knocking? And after the initial “rut” she doesn’t come to her senses and knock it off? And that scene that he saw, was more romantic than simple “copulation”!
“I really didn't get the jest of it” – the GIST of it!
Interesting story, but the ending is completely implausible, as others have noted. What, exactly, would Alisha tell her 2 daughters and the little boy about the identity of his father? The truth is clearly not an option. Those kids, especially the little boy, are likely to be "survivors" at best.
great story there. glad how he worked out the problem with his wife when he found out that she was cheating on him. made her realize that she wasn't the only one involved when she was doing that. at least he found a way to help out in his resolve to hold off from her to make her come around. keep writing
Gave this a three. While the writing is good and the story flows I have to say aside from the daughters there is no one to like. In the case of moral judgement, the actions of another can not justify immoral behaviour. A pschyciatrist never gives guarantees of future behaviour. We are not magicians, we don't read tea leaves. As for his secretary she is no better than either of the spouses.
However, I would like to know how long the affair went on and how often wife cheated. She admits to starting when pregnant with youngest child but we don't know age of youngest. One of children was 6 years old. If she was youngest 6 years is a long time to forgive. Also, was it once a week or every day. If I missed something please correct me.
Frankly none of the characters were well drawn, and followed too close to the LW stereotypes.
His astonishing brilliance and business success
Resurrection of an impoverished woman who would be dependent upon him
The refusal to talk after the brief confrontation with the wife
His lack of anguish or depression with her cheating
His desperate attempt to be in charge to try to bring the wife begging
Putting up with her extended affair (Ok,not the stereotype)
Impoverished girl a willing sex doll.
Resolution of the cheating on his terms.
Your a decent writer, but this story wasn't much to my taste.
I agree with chilliwillie and imanonone commentss.
The ending for me was a little far fetched, takes a lover he has a child, retires with lots money, a very nice fairy ending.
I also wish to know how long his wife had been having an affsir, how often, and where ! ?The woge is an intelligent woman and she would realise her divorce could lead to the divorce of her lovers marriage ( do not know if children are involved ) so perhaps she decided on damaged limitation with her husband . As might also lose her jod in the process !
When I got home from the zoo and she was dressed in slinky dress and heels her ass would have been out the door. Take her back? Not in this lifetime. You left a woman who loved you unconditionally, and gave you a son for a cheating slut.
nice twist, but he had it coming. I don't like cheaters, male or female, they simply cant be trusted with the others life. hubby going behind wife's back fucking his secretary was wrong, period. what made him a slime ball was the fact he didn't use protection, while demanding a postnuptial. they were both weak, and maybe understandable to some extent, but not his behavior.
First of all this story deals with 2 cheaters. Then it takes the wife 6 months to meet his terms to save the marriage...the first 2 months still cheating with her lover.
He left a girl that really loved him to be with his cheating wife. This did not make sense to me. He loved his children but to stay with a cheating wife. An interesting story but I disagree with the ending. Thank you for the story.
Okay, so this guy is supposed to be an executive. A guy who people trust to make good decisions. First, he would have hired a PI to get the goods on his wife. Second, he would have either gotten a divorce immediately or he would have tried to work it out but only when he had all the facts and total capitulation from the cheating slut. Third, he never cheated, the marriage ended the day SHE cheated legalities aside - that is the way it works. With his new, better relationship in full bloom he should have used the PI info to get a good divorce settlement along with the custody of the kids. His ex was a loser. Her story about why she cheated was bullshit. She cheated because she wanted to. Regardless of the marriage outcome, he should have burned William to the ground. This story has the hazy logic of a drug addict not an executive or any MAN for that matter.
I would say this hubby made lemonade out of the lemons he was provided. Some of the comments reflect criticism about the husband, about the story not being realistic, etc, I don't see it that way. I see this as an entertaining fantasy and a good one at that.
I cannot respect the decision to not be a father to the baby. The kid should know who his dad is. When the truth comes out years later, the boy will resent both of his parents and eventually will cut them out of his life.
They are all irresponsible idiots.
Fondling, kissing and smiling at each other in public says romance not simple rutting sex.
(If you can see them doing it from a car parked in a university parking lot, without binoculars, it's in public)
Then coming home wearing a 'slinky dress and heels' which she obviously wore for her lover?
Again speaks of romance rather than just sex.
What he did after he found out?
Not cheating in my opinion.
Once either party to an agreement or contract breaks it then it is no longer binding on the other party.
Even though he is not 'officially' the father it is pretty obvious that he is very much in his sons life.
"Why can't we talk about it now?" - Why do cheating wives, even if they don't know that their husband knows, THEY know they are cheating, and should be able to put two and two together!
"She was not wearing normal Saturday mom clothes, but a slinky dress and heels." - Where the fuck did she go on a Saturday morning/afternoon dressed like that?
"How do we get around the fraternization and sexual harassment policies?" - As I said in an earlier comment, sexual harassment hardly applies since she came on to him, though upon further consideration his superior position provides an implied coercion, and a waiver MAY help there, but if the company has anti-fraternization policies, neither employee has the authority to waive them.
"I have every intention of complying with the three conditions that you laid out and never varied from even though I don't like them," - Why not?
I repeat my earlier comment, that gesture he saw was too romantic to go along with her story.
In fiction, it is nice that there are great women willing and able to take up the slack in a troubled marriage. Pure wish-fulfillment, but a good read. The wife was rather cold about the whole thing and took a long time to come around, so I would think the trust issue wouldn't go away. No way could a shrink write something assuring him that she was now a faithful wife. Where can we get that kind of excellent service?? It would resolve 80% of the LW stories!
5* I liked how the husband dealt with his cheating wife, while engaging with his assistant. Honor with Compassion. Calm Planning and Execution. I liked the no abortion. Best story I have read this month.
A shame he didn't go with Alisha, as well as stopped sleeping with her.
Of course the latter is left out in the open, but if he went back on that choice, he would be just as bad a cheater as Nancy.
What a slut, I cannot believe he took his cheating wife back, she even admitted that she continued the affair at an even greater rate after he had outed her & gave her his ultimatum, how serious was she about their marriage? She treated him & their marriage & his ultimatum with contempt. He should have scorched the earth with the bitch!!!!
excellent!! keep writing!!
Reprehensible and Degenerate Behavior is Positively Rife throughout this Whole Story !

The Real Reason
She cheated for the same reason most people cheat: because she could! and because she really did not care about anyone but herself and her ego.
Two different characters
The guy starts out acting in favor of his family life with his kids, accepting his wife's affair but no longer being intimate with her.
