For some reason I gave this five stars. A short story about a sad marriage between two people who should have found someone else in life. Unfortunately, I suspect there are a lot of people like this out there and that calls for more coffee, because it is too early to drink something stronger (LOL).
Hey, I still use Lol alot. LOL! As do many in my circle of friends. Yeah, we're still on Facebook but most of them like me are in their 60's. But 30 yr old son uses Instagram with minimal words to communicate. I still like to use clauses & even sometimes complete sentences. 😏 Though a sad marriage of ill-fitting partners, well written!
and well-written, reminiscent of Camus perhaps: "Today my mother died...."
So hubby seems to have forgiven her or resigned himself to her playing. Maybe a little more about that would have been in order? Or maybe the matter-of-fact attitude of the story-teller is consistent with just leaving out anything unnecessary.
As always, the reference to the wife being extra nice while cheating is of interest.
