::Thwap::Dude, read it again. He loves her, but he can't let her know because they are fated not to work out, and that it would break her heart if she truly got attached. He endures the pain so she won't have to. THAT'S love.
But Why?
Why can't they be together? Why the hell does Fate always have to come and screw everything up? Ah, such are the ways of love and lust, I guess. Beautiful imagery, by the way. Seriously, though, he loves her, she loves him, but he knows that they aren't meant to be? How does he know that? These are all rhetorical, it just saddens me that after all that, after the love and passion and intensity, that they can't be together.
