It is a challenge to find the line but not cross it (too much!).

There is another part to this story from the POV of the babysitter. I'm still working on it, but hope to finish it soon. It won't be in time for Summer Love contest, but I do have another entry posted (The Mentor) which is dark and edgy like this one. If you like this, you'll most likely like that one, too.

I have one additional contest entry for summer love called "Bailey, the Family Pet." It's dark like the others, but a little different in scope. Bailey is a troubled teenage girl who becomes the pet of a wealthy family. I hope you like it. I hope you like them all.

As others have mentioned, you often flirt with lines, Huck. Sometimes crossing (or obliterating) ones that many folks won't. It's one of the things I like about your stories.
This one toes the line admirably. Simple but subtle and well-realized. I particularly liked how we were told the man's belief that the sitter was not comfortable with her own looks and how that then influenced their actions from then on.
