I think you may have a good idea here, but I can't imagine how anyone could possibly be hypnotized by someone who sounded like he wasn't sure what he was saying or going to say next. It also sounded very contrived, as if he really was not even a hypnotist.
At the very least, it would have been nice if he had practiced his lines. I kept being distracted by how obvious it was that he didn't know what he was supposed to say next.
It would be interesting to see if this would work if you had a real hypnotist put it together and read it!
