Really like the whole "We need to talk" series. All well written, short and to the point. Most with a really clever twist. This one is great. Keep them coming. Hope you can continue finding additional topics / scenes to continue. 5 stars and thanks for posting.
But the issue I have is why would he be happy to be rid of his wife? Before she told him that she was cheating was the marriage bad? While I like quick hitters the one problem is that without more background we have no understanding of the circumstances leading up to the story. Still an okay story. I wonder what will happen when her solicitor says she was lying about her lover and was just lashing out at her husbands perceived cheating? Since he has no proof (and even a British Court would require more proof than a single I-phone recording) I wonder if they divorce and she got half? I wonder if she hired a PI and caught him in the act, had video proof, and she got MORE than half? So many questions. Maybe next time a longer story?
I fived it because it was silly, easy, and fun, but like OvertheFalls I felt a little squeamish about the marriage. He seemed to be happy. Didn't the discovery upset him at all?
love this story as it shows how some people can get all mixed up in what was said and what really happened. and it looks like she got what she really wanted in the end, no marriage
I know some people get tired of wives fucking up by going overboard with the revenge thing or the justification of their own cheating, but I can't help but enjoy them because almost every author that writes one of these twists the knife of irony in the slut's heart until she bleeds out.
Having been involved and watching more than a few interrogations, most guilty people will talk themselves into trouble or even more trouble than not.... Hence the fifth amendment here in the US!
Thanks***
For the read.

Don't over think things
Nice story, well advertised. Apparently the marriage was on the rocks for a while, now it's settled to the bottom.

The dreaded words...
"We need to talk" This was hilarious, how wifey unknowingly confessed to her own cheating, while the husband was innocent. Good snapshot story! 5 *'s
such a strong statement in so few words

sounds like a variation
on the "whisper" game. by the time you get all the way around the circle what the last person heard is not what the first person said.
