Editing

Firstly i loved this series and have readit multiple times over. Currently restarted reading the sieries 2 days ago.

However, it needs some editing, example Gordon came into the seiries at 4 years of age, at time refered to as being three years when he met Dr Luck and ended the series at 17 with only 9 years passing from the beginning to the end of the series.

Another is the computer was refered to cale the last few chapters and in this chapter she was called Callie. Callie Chase's (One of the original investors) husband's name is Harold not Christian, as that is her son's name.

Maybe try to find an editor before you begin you next story whatever it may be.

Though I am holding out hope for a sequal to this story at some point.

Best luck with your medical treatment. May you live long and prosper !

Hate to see it end

Your stories always leave me wanting more. They are well written, the character development is outstanding, story line is developed to the point that you feel that not only do you know these people, but you have known them all their lives. When the story ends you feel that you will be missing good friends. I thank you for sharing your imagination and hard work with us. Good luck with the treatments. We will keep you in our prayers for a speedy recovery.

Thanks again.

please - whenever You are ready - continue with sequels

Since You created such fascinating characters, it would almost be a crime not to continue along the lines of "There must be a mistake !" Take a break from over ten millions of words - but be aware, Your audience still is not sated but expects umpteen millions more of your writing - As You know, there is no ende to a saga - why should there be one here ?

Loved reading Your work - Thanks a million times (maybe 20 plus ?) for letting us partake of Your fantasies - Give us some more - Thanks in advance !

I think that was the perfect way to end this one. If you get around to writing about their later adventures in space awesome, if not that's ok too. I hope your regiment puts your cancer back in to total remission and thank you for continuing to write until the story had the ending it deserved.

Fantastic

Fantastic story. I hope your treatment goes well and the you fully recover and continue writing for years to come. I will be selfish and beg for a new novel at this point covering the adventures of these wonderful characters in their space voyage. I also want to urge you to consider how awesome it would be to have the younger children follow their parents and meet up with them in space. Their larger ships will not only be able to do so but would be able to carry not only the first colonists but such things as seeds and livestock to truly make a second earth a home for those that would settle earth two.

Truly Wonderful All the Way Through!

I have been with you since the beginning of this story and have commented after each chapter. I don't read a lot of stuff here, only those stories and chapters that happen to catch my eye in a certain way. You captured my attention from that very first chapter and I feel truly grateful for your allowing me along for the ride. Your characters were fascinating and the intricate plot moved along at a great pace. There were a few moments, here and there, that didn't go quite smoothly but they were far and in between and did not detract from my over-all enjoyment one iota. I know you spent a lot of time on this manuscript, for several months, and a lot of the time you were not feeling your best. I appreciate that dedication and the care that went into it.

I hope your final treatment goes well. As you can see, all of us wish you a speedy recovery because we are selfish and want some more stories from you. But take your time and enjoy some relaxation. You have earned it, my friend. We can wait.

Roger.

Great ending

Really enjoyed this story along with all your other stores..

Sorry to hear about you having to go back for more treatments. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Like I said loved the stories and I know that the timeline for this one was off. If the time lines were correct then Zoey would be in her thirties like the other children because she was mentioned in the story about the FBI. When he got married I belived that Zoey was already horned to the Paynes. I might be wrong and that would mean that I will have to read your other stories to see about the timeline again

But like I said it was a really great story.

Take your time recovering from your treatments and when you are feeling better maybe you could pick up one of the loose ends and run with it for another great story.

Until than have a speedy recovery and love long and prosper. See I followed Star Trek also.

Thank you for all your comments. Before I start, I want to tell you that my doctors have told me I am in complete REMISSION. That word in any language makes my heart sing. I will be on pills for a year or more, and be saying a local oncologist during that time. Thank you for all your prayers and good wishes, I'm sure whoever was looking out for me heard you, and help me a lot. Onward. Book 2 of this series is in the works. The working title is, "Dark As Daylight." I will only give you a teaser at this point, hap but many things pen on day one you will not believe. I think being released from the hospital, released my brain, and took me into directions I never thought of before. Beware, this chapter will rock your world, as it is rocking mine.

An amazing ride

I spent every moment I could and read the whole story and as much as I wanted to get to the end I dreaded getting there because I simply didn't want the story to end. I would hope you will take my next statement as a compliment because it is, I can only compare your story to my all time favorite author Robert Heinlein and say I believe he would have loved your tale and found many similarities to some of his great works. I think you are destined to be as great as he was. I would be very happy if you were to write another story about the characters from this story. Again you have given everyone who read this story hours of pure enjoyment I will read everything of yours I can.

It was a good read, but after the 500th gratuitous mantra of..."I hate you, no I hate you more, and the ever so repetitious...I am going to kill you diatribe was starting to get just a little old. Maybe 4 or 5 chapters alone could have been cut out if you would reduce that by a little bit. We get your contempt for anything Bush, but your snide comments added zero to the story. Good grief!

I don't do this very much often but this feels right

I rarely ever comment on things I read on this site, today I am making an exception for this novel. I loved the novel and read it from start to finish in the space of 24 hours. Since it appears you never went back to make the edits to grammar etc that were suggested by many readers it was a bit of a struggle and a lot of the arguments between characters were frustrating as it seemed everybody used the same catchphrase depending on which portion of the story you were at. But as time went on the way the story was written became more mature.

I would like to find out if you ever got an editor to go over the previous chapters, if so then hopefully one day we will see the story cleaned up as far as the language use goes which will enhance the enjoyment of your readers. Also if you ever get the time to go back and rewrite portions of the story which seem slightly weak plot wise as well as disengage the readers that would be beautiful.

In the end though regardless of everything I wrote above o have loved every moment of this story and am grateful you chose to share this work with the world

peronal view

having reached the age of 82 and helped nurse ,first my father in law and then my wife through terminal cancer I feel in tune with the health issues portrayed in this novel. Apart from cringing at some of the editorial mistakes and American spellings, it managed to invoke nothing but admiration for the authors courage and skills as a story teller. I sincerely wish him all the best and he will be in my thoughts as long as I may live. john moseley from England

Loved the story except for one TINY thing...THE TIMELINE!

If from the beginning of the story till the end; only 8yrs have lapse. How can the characters age more than the allotted time given? I know it's about space travel and science but there was no mention of accelerated growth or was there?! For example, Monty and Gordon knowing each other for 14yrs!? Shouldn't it be only 8yrs or did I misread the timeline and they only started to build the spacecraft after 6yrs of Monty being hired to guard Gordon? If it's only been an eight year lapse from beginning to end, all the characters ages are off or did I misread it again? That is the only thing bugging me. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed reading all 34 chapters but as is human nature, the age timeline bugs me more than the other discrepancies in the story...hahaha...ah well :) Still, good job well done :)

was going so excruciatingly slow that I jumped ahead from chapter 12 to the end.... Been reading these type of SiFi novels since the early 60's We call them Space Operas and Amazon is replete with them. For a good example of how this could have been improved I suggest you pull up the Kutherian Gambit series by Michael Anderle. That one has good snappy dialogue with really well done one liner repartee like you are attempting in this one.... It also has clear pacing and EVERYTHING in each book is foreshadowed and targeted towards the primary goal of taking mankind into the galaxy.

This one right now frustrates me to pieces....here you have the whole series point you towards the liftoff...and travel through the solar system to the interstellar sphere....and the SERIES DOES NOT DELIVER SQUAT!!! You as a reader are left hanging ....they get to liftoff...and you end the fricking series without giving the reader squat.... So thanks...the first couple of chapters were ok....but the rest of the series suffers from story interruptus...!!!

After reading this junk through Chapter 12...jumping ahead to the end and seeing that virtually all the questions/foreshadowing are left unanswered.... I find this to be one of the must frustrating wastes of time I have ever pushed through.

Epic Fail there sport...you can do much much better....Learn the editorial art of MODERATION...and STOP DROWNING YOUR READER IN INANE ONE LINER DIALOGUE AND INSCIPID STORY FRAGMENTS!
