There are times
When this reminds me of the old soap operas where nothing much happened over long periods of time. But somehow it doesn't bother me. It's still a very charming story. Still five stars.

This is such a wonderful story. Please consider putting this "short" story into a novel. I have been so proud of the way you humanely dealt with the issue of forgiveness/bitterness in this story. I also want to suggest that over time, people do heal who have horrible injuries. My niece had a brain fungus and it has been two years since she was completely debilitated and we feared death. But she is a fighter and has recently run in a 6k! That's a far cry from being in a vegetative state for the better part of three months. Lots of love, the best medical care and prayer has brought this youngster back. Oh...and don't forget a ton of fortitude that she and my brother's family has inside. I know that some folks DON'T recover, but I always wonder how their situation might have ended differently if they had the "fight back" necessary and the faith to believe. Keep writing --- you are exceptional!!!!!!
