...you just can't let Amy go that easily now can you? She finally found a nice guy and was going steady for a year only for him to give her syphilis. At least they patched it up somehow, for now. If he plans to go away and leaving her behind it'll be hell all over again...
As for the time skip - that was really bold move that payed off nicely, forgoing the (probably) boring college life was wise and builds character. The love between J&J is still going storm and I bet it's stronger than before. Seeing some real-life progress on Jessicas side of life was a real heart warmer and now that she began her residency you can literally see she loves her profession. Hope the same come up for Jake and May when they begin their professional paths. Not sure though why emphasis the nuclear reactor & radiation part so much, hope you're not planning something apocalyptic there...
One important thing - I do hope that Jessica realises that she'll have to make some tough calls in her line of work and wish to adopt every kid that looses his/her parents. In connection to this I am anxiously anticipating the next instalment just to see how they'll tackle the adoption process and how will Ella fit in there. And what about the finances, their school commitment, what will other relatives thing of it, their future plans, place to live (as they can't have a kid in the dorm)....
I'm giving you 4* just because of Amy, she deserves happiness just as much as the protagonists and it's long overdue!
Not too sure abut Infinity War 2 coming out in 2018 though :)
1. I love how they naturally came to address each other as wife & husband, specially in public in front of others :)
2. the slip-up was handled good but could have been done better. Still I like Joshs reasoning and him not being the same religious fanatic as his old folks he might totally accept it in the long run.

Nuclear Reactor Engineer?
Plant Vogtle is way behind schedule and vastly over budget. It, like other new nuclear reactors, are a colossal dead-end technology. Why not celebrate avant-garde relationships with some less failed and retro than one too expensive to meter? Solar and wind are plummeting in price and setting the marketplace competitive pace. Too bad your protagonist is headed for a dead-end career! No stars for this one!

Good progress
I like the development of three years -- I like the slight hair growing on Jake's chest -- he will turn into an even sexier young men -- but I can't get why he shaves his pubic region clean. A good bit of hair on a man is very attractive!
Men shave their pubes for the same reason women shave theirs; their lovers do not like hair in their mouth.

Comment Rebuttal
"Tw0Cr0ws" commented (in a response to someone's question) that men shave their pubes for the same reason women do - to keep hair out of their partner's mouth. This is pretty much incorrect. While it DOES have that benefit, as a side effect, most women shave their pubes either because their men like 'bare', or because it gives a much different feeling when wider areas of the vulva (normally hair-covered) are licked. Most guys shave their pubes because they see it done on porn, and it makes their cocks LOOK longer.
Some Anonymous dolt posted that Jake is in a dead-end career, as a Nuclear Reactor Engineer. Wrong, again, and wrong to believe that either solar or wind power are better technologies. As I write this, I'm sitting where I can look out a big window. The trees I can see are absolutely still - not even a trace of breeze. If I had a wind-turbine, it'd be turning out ZERO watts! Further, the sky overhead is VERY gray and overcast, because rain is on the way. If I had my roof covered with solar panels, they'd only be putting out about 30% power, due to the dim light from the sun that still filters through the clouds. Both wind and solar are inefficient and unreliable technologies (the wind doesn't always blow, and the sun doesn't always shine. On the other hand, nuclear power, properly managed, is about the cheapest source of energy one can get. With the current EPA war against coal-fired and gas-fired power plants, and its other war against hydroelectric dams ("We have to shut this dam down, as we've just found out that it is harming the natural habitat of the freckled frog - or some other creature) we NEED a source of power that works 100% of the time, and doesn't give off greenhouse gasses and doesn't interfere with habitats.
And, given the number of presently operating nuclear power plants in the world, even if no new ones are ever built, Jake will have a viable career and a high-paying job for the rest of his career, until he's ready to retire!

Great and all but....

And two more things I forgot
