Getting near the end?

This is a good story its only problem is it is broken into too many short chapters. Hopefully the next chapter will be he conclusion.

Goal achieved

I've laughed I've cried and I'm inspired so raw and beautifully written. Love the speedy updates too you should be commended.

It's broken in to too many small chunks. And you really made Anne a dumbass, for a lawyer she is certainly pretty naive and she should have worked out that it was the partners well before the attack.

A wild and crazy ride, a great story. I'm on the short chapters side myself. The others are greedy for more, and who can blame them? Glad there are only two more to go to get to the end, and sorry there are only two chapters left in such a wonderful story. GT

Terrific chapter

I absolutely love this story. Your writing is wonderful as is your character development. Seeing Anne react to what don did and the way that Grace reacted on the next morning tells me that they will be all right. I loved the descriptions of the scene where Don battled the thugs and what happened to them after. Like Bobby and Mike said be careful what you wish for in the courtroom may be a bit of foretelling what may happen.
5 Stars and again keep up the great writing.

A terrific story.

It's charming, and we all know that somehow it will turn out well. But I agree, Anne's too smart not to have figured this out earlier. But that's a very small quibble in a story that's five stars all the way.

Damn it!

This has got to stop! You just made a 60 year old man cry!!! The emotions of this story are off the chart and getting deeper with very chapter.

Gripping story

You have created really believable characters that I actually care about. Great story imho I'll still complain about stopping at cliff hangers as I would prefer to read right through. Possibly a symptom of the age as we can sit down and watch a complete season of a tv show. We have learned not to wait. Perhaps you are teaching us something with it.

Would like to request 2 stories per day ar double the previous length of the previous chapters. Orrrrr end the story and stop stringing me along! The emotional roller coaster is killing me!!!!!

THEY GOT EXactly what they wanted. Don's violent killed a man. Without Anne who's to defend Don. She shouldn't go to work. They wanted her to disappear. That's down right dirty!

I couldn't disagree more on the first part. too many witness and he was provoked. I may agree a bit on part 2, but the guy they have picked to plan this stuff is a complete moron.
2 to go, hoping for a happy ending, they all deserve it.

one thing we have learned from this series

it is that write4food really, really, really does NOT like lawyers.

Damn good company. Just think what this world would be like with about 1/10 of the attorneys that we have.......

He killed a man

There is NO WAY that would be handled the way you've depicted. He would without a doubt lose custody, no matter how the court case went. He would have been arrested and charged with manslaughter at the very least.

You understand this is a story right?

This is a very well written story that someone has shared with us for FREE, but that is what it is, not a biography. In fact, while a couple chapters were obviously just a setup for this one, I personally thought this chapter was as well written in description and flow as any I have ever read on this site.
But, on a website where every man has a 12 inch dick and every woman has 38DDDDDDDDDDD breasts, there are those questioning the authenticity of the events portrayed here. I hope that those naysayers never read anything by King, Rowling, Dickens, Twain or the like, they will be astounded by the things that happen in their stories. I am not comparing the authors on this site to them, I am simply making the point that all fiction should be taken as such - just a made up story!

You aren't convicted of manslaughter for killing a man that is stabbing you. Go live in your dumbass criminal paradise. In the real world, there are consequences for attacking people with a deadly weapon.
