The Handyman Ch. 05: 1849

I've enjoy many of your stories and even the beginning of this one but this chapter...being nice I'll say not so much. I'm hoping you're through setting up the background and can get on with the original plot of the prologue. Sorry, just my opinion.

It's a novel

This is a novel. This is all part of the "original" plot. That said, The next chapter flips to 1995 and the one after that to the ultimate "now" of the novel (which is an earlier than the current--2015--now).

This reads like a genealogy rather than a story and I'm not sure that dialogue is anything resembling Irish dialect (historical or not).
