A different trucker
Ronde, you have a definite talent with words. I had passed over this story, thinking it would be one of the more typical erotic stories - i.e. rescue stranded female; motel for the night; shared bed, etc. Almost as good as Laura's Vineyard. Thanks again for writing. I appreciate it.

As the wife of a trucker I was truly impressed with this story. I know what it's like to be on the road in the truck with him and now that I can't be there I really miss it. This story made me realize how lucky some of us girls are to have a man like that. So...I think I'll close with one of my favorite sayings "Truckers Do It In The Hammer Lane"!!!!!

I loved the under-thread of the long haul trucking life, as well as the way you tantalised your reader with the gradual building relationship between the characters. Danged if this doesn't bring back some memories...
I drove for around 23 years, lol's (May of '92 till Feb of '15). I used to tell everybody that I was a paid tourist, I got to travel all over the U.S. & Canada, and that I got paid to do it.
I actually had something like what happened in this story happen to me. Just didn't get married to her. She rode around with me for about a year and a half before she decided that she wanted to settle down in one place and I just wasn't ready to stop driving yet, about broke my heart, but, we're actually still friends & I keep up with her every now and then through e-mail or texting... I'm retired now, living on my ranch in Oklahoma. I had spent 13.5 in the service before I started driving, bought a ranch while I was in, then kept adding to it as I had the opportunity.
Very Much Enjoyed The Story,
