They're cute together. I can't wait to find out what she is. She is something, isn't she? A different variety of light siren or some other creature they had thought extinct?

Taking her up 2 miles in the air and dropping her 5 times - despite her pleas - until she was exhausted by her fear, and then fucking her limp body?
That is non-consentual abuse, and not what I was expecting to read here.
I've really enjoyed your work so far, but that was disappointing.
Can'tfightfate: you're kind of terrible at this patience thing. Lol. But glad to see you are back. Oh, and just a personal shout out to you...when you read the next chapter....DO NOT freak out. You will understand why I say that. It'll be ok. I promise!
Abusive much: I am totally not trying to be. I have a tendency to take liberties with my non-humans and make them have the qualities I want them to have, and not just what is "popular" among that particular nonhuman fan base. I remembered reading about bat mating rituals at one time or another and researched it when writing about Alexandru in Anya's story. Not to get all encyclopedic or anything, but the behavior he is displaying is similar to what red bats will do during their mating season. They mate in the air and will fall from the sky! Alexandru is going by instinct, it wasn't done to punish or hurt her.

Or....they're the two most "human like" non-humans and I was writing these stories as I dealt with my own emotions about having to have a hysterectomy this year. *shrug*. At least my vampires don't sparkle and my werewolf isn't pining after an infant. Dear God, NO ONE WRITE FANFIC ON THIS STORY. *sobs*. The world doesn't need another poorly written bdsm novel. Or do, and write a good one and make gobs of money when Hollywood runs with it. Just thank me in the credits and buy me a nice bottle of wine.
I think you needed to set it all up with the Anya story, but now you can focus on individuals and make up brilliant stories for them based on this world

Why?
Why was there a need to take her and drop her so many times?
I mean she's suppose to be pregnant and already having a hard time, plus it seemed a bit abusive as she kept asking him not to.
In all honesty, I was enjoying the story, but that kind of put me off.
I was asked this same question when the chapter first came out. I wasn't trying to have her tossed around carelessly, that was not the intent. In my research of these chapters about a vampire that had similar characteristics to a bat, I remembered there being a type of bat that mates in the air. I gave Alexandru this characteristic, as well. It was meant to show that he wanted to mate with her fully, completely, in a way that he might only mate with someone he truly wanted to be with forever. It was meant to be an instinctual behavior and not some sort of abuse.
