So I was age 7 in '59, old enough to know all your references to that era. This was a very enjoyable read; original and sans all the overused sex idioms. Had me laughing out loud a few times too!
Thanks for your kind comments. I was two years older than you in the spring of '59. The den where this took place was modeled after the one in the house of a close neighborhood friend. The rest is pure fiction.
I clearly remember the 50s and the 60s as well. such a difference in ten years! would have been commonplace in the 60s, except I was blessed at that time to not have a sister and had to be happy with my neighbors... who had three beautiful daughters. together we learned what life had to offer and still count them as three of my dearest friends although we none ended up as life partners. very nice read and brought back many fond childhood memories.
