A very well written story and the emotional roller coast ride for Ralph was excellent in its delivery.
For me the wifes character needed more depth and she did not really suffer at all from Ralph. Perhaps the wife should have set up a mistress for Ralph, given him a FFM were she is not one of the FF, she could have set up a dungeon play room, introduced hand cuffs, anal, BJ's all hours of the day and swallowed every time, in fact she should gargle the cum,..lol

Interesting!
Like most here, I'm a BTB fan. Crush, destroy, annihilate, anything possible.
Yet I've also had a brain injury years ago and Ralf sounds exactly like another fellow I had to spend time with. Like Ralf, he lost his emotions. All of them. I remember telling him a job to see if I could make him smile. Afterward, he just nodded and said "I can see how that is funny." That's it. Another man was the exact opposite, he would just walk into a room and burst out laughing. He was the most difficult to deal with and he knew it. Occasionally he would begin crying because he didn't want to laugh but couldn't help it.
The man with no emotions makes me understand Ralf and how others here are so dismissive. I was the same way for quite a long time. Nothing mattered. I'm still that way somewhat. It is difficult for others to be around you simply because you don't care about anything. Good or bad. It made perfect sense when he let the whore move back in. Folks here just don't understand. Ralf simply doesn't care. He doesn't care about his ex, his friends or especially the pimp.

wow
NO one is more guilty or devoted than a recovered alcoholic or drug addict.
And the addict will do anything, anything to get their drugs. Betraying a husband would mean little to them.
If she was cured, I could see this happening, but could a guy that damaged ever be more normal? who knows.
He sounds like me when I was 18. As a child abuse survivor I was like Raif. I did not even want to be touched at all in any way. I know how he is. Excellent story.
That appreciated this story (whether they "liked" it or not), it reminded me of another I recently read here:

It is a longer 3 chapter tale, fascinating to me in it's own way.

Drugged prostitute?
Lot of people try to make excuses for drug addicts. It to me is not an illness, cause its not something that happens unexpectedly. It is a concious effort on your selfish part to try an illegal drug. Knowing the consequences before hand. Why did you mess with it in the first place.? Sorry but no go.
You did a fine job of building the story from the beginning of Ralf's injuries to the the beginning of his salvation. I fully enjoyed this story. I gave it 5.
How does a German manage to write in English like a native. No tense mistakes nor word order errors.Your stories are the best I've ever read.More please I've read them all
Odd - only because it was so unexpected and perhaps because your desire to experiment came to fruition.
Impressive because the psychological numbness and slow return to something resembling a human is something we've all experienced - to a much lesser degree. Hence, the protagonists evolution seemed both so natural (because of this familiarity) and so foreign (because of its severity).
Thanks for a moving little tale.

Also, why don't the RAAC writers ever seem to understand? To motivate a believable reconciliation, one needs to have the breaker of vows feel remorse and exhibit a desire to atone. Absent these demonstrable elements, any reconciliation will appear hollow. I understand it can be challenging, but so many authors seem to crave a reconciliation irrespective of whether the foundational elements for rebuilding trust are present.
Interesting and Brave Story
