You're a brave one, my dear

and you know that I understand where this poem originated. You have taken a highly charged subject, but stated it with such plaintive truth and simplicity that you took away the sting. I don't care how corny this sounds, but when you listen to your heart and write what it tells you, you can't go wrong. This poem is an excellent example of that. :)

Ok,

this was just too fucking good. A brave form in it's stucture and simplicity, and still (huh) so perfectly executed, so unapologetically beautiful, and not missing one single beat.

While I love the content...

The rhythm distracted me a lot. A less singsongy rhythm would suit it better.

But the images were wonderful.

great poem

Great work. I actually really liked the rhythm and flow of the work. My only problem was with the second last stanza, where I had to go back (and have to go back every time I re-read it) and not flow from the second to the third line in the same rhythm as the earlier ones. Excellent imagery though throughout.

Wow.

Given the subject we just talked about, I nearly cried reading this. So sweet and peaceful. I can't even express how much I enjoyed this.

Lovely

I don't often enjoy the simple poems...but this one is simple hiding behind a curtain of decided intelligence. Thank you.
