It's an Erotic Mind Control Shaggy Dog story, I love it! Five stars!
On the one hand the reader is left wondering whether Cole's control over Joy will continue after Christmas has passed, and how that might play out whichever way it goes... and on the other hand I realize that it doesn't really matter because you were just going for the pun, which was great. You even warned the reader right at the start, and I still somehow didn't see that coming.
It would be really great if you took the same characters and wrote a follow-up story for Valentines Day with another pun that doesn't involve their names this time, but some other aspect of the plot.
