I enjoyed a lot of the story. The age (at 60) and a silver haired mother is a change up from most of what else I read. But there are some basic mistakes.
The mothers eyes start off green, do they not? Then half way through they are blue.
Calling the son's penis 'the knob' is a bit of an odd touch. Also some minor things like quotation marks popping up in odd moments. (Not that I can complain as I am a horrific editor of my own writing! I only point it out to aide and assist.)
But I liked the general flow of the story. Taking her out on a dinner date is a great idea and I loved the fact his father knew and they didn't care. Just a nice little building factor.
