Dexter - The Right Ending

Better than the actual finale...

Maybe its because I watched the entire series recently, but this certainly makes more sense than most of the final season

I really liked Dexter and really hated the ending. You did a great job

This ending was better, but only because the actual ending was, as you said, probably the worst in tv history. I agree with getting rid of Hannah and am ok with Debra getting together with Dexter, but other than that no.

The actual ending should've been Dexter being found out by Batista and the police department as the Butcher and ending up in prison or being shot and killed while they tried to arrest him. Preferably arrested alive and having a trial and becoming infamous all over the world as THE serial-killer.

This ending was by far much better. Unlike the previous comment, has nothing to do with the fact the actual ending sucked the soul out of the fans.

Killing Dexter off isn't a reward befitting the person who, through acts of contained violence, ensured sacks of repeating shit wouldn't terrorize citizens ever again. Dexter's death would be ironic considering his mental celebration parade he had in season...3 or 4 (can't remember) when he imagined being cheered for being the Bay Harbor Butcher, but that would leave a hole open for how Harrison was to grow up, how Deb would handle a Dexter in the making without the contacts her father had, not to mention compassion and moral compass. No, reward would be the best way to go, and also leaves it open for a possible return later, perhaps Harrison as a teen/young adult, but as is with the ending in this story, perfect.

Hannah needed to meet death. She fucked with the wrong people and needed to reap what she sowed, you did that perfectly, and then tying it in to the change in Dexter is perfect. Born in blood, lives in blood, finds love in blood.
