Keep on writing this. It shows promise and good character development. The setup is decent. Only a few very minor typos, nothing jarring. Nice work overall. Didn't jump right out and grab me yet, though- I don't feel invested in the characters just yet, so hopefully Chapter 2 is where you set the hook.
