Just a comment: "Punishment for Bigamy in India: The offence known as ‘bigamy’ is committed when a person having a husband or wife living, marries in any case in which marriage is void, by reason of it taking place during the life of such husband or wife. Such person is punishable with imprisonment of either description upto seven years and fine."!!!!! No rating for now...Let's see where the writer wants to go...
A major flaw with the story is that for those of us unfamiliar with the culture & system you are wriring about, you've not botheted to explain or help me understand what's going on. If you're going to write about cultures & beliefs that vary from the norm of western cultures, at least spend some time making an interested reader feel welcomed. You pretty much excluded me from understanding these characters & what made them "tick". That's disastrous for a writer. I'm disappointed because I wanted to understand this story but the way you excluded me made me give up reading it. I just got too confusing & I couldn't relate, lost interest & quit.
