Enjoyed the writer's skill , hated the story

It's one thing when a teasing , snooty, mouthy or otherwise feckless woman messes with the wrong man and gets swiftly bent over. This was too literally & metaphorically on the money with the privileged upper class sticking it to a tastey, proletarian tidbit for a fairly trifling offense made under duress. I resent that. I can't deny it, but resent that all the same.
