What if you give us the choice? I love the story so far, think you could make one chapter going for love, and a parallel one for lust?

He's cared for her and now can have her. With his powers sh won't be all but she should be by his side.

And as for the comment about incest. When I read these kind of stories I kinda expect it. Especially when he's learning his powers. So if you want to include it do so. If someone doesn't like they don't have to read it.
