I have read a lot of fantasy novels in my life and i will be honest this ranks in the top 10. If i were you i would water down the sex scenes a little and start sending drafts to publisher. Instant hit. Anyways i hate you cause its now 4 in the morning and i have work in two hours :P

Well, what can I say that somebody hasn't already... This is EXCELLENT work! I had begun to think this story line was abandoned and was delighted this morning to find that it hadn't been. I'm SO overyjoyed to see that you're continuing on with your work and look forward SO much to reading onward! I like how you bounced back and forth between the two very different stories that you're progressing. It gives us a chance to decompress from these "mini books" you seem to write. I look forward with anticipation on the future of this story and can't wait for the next installment.

Took a While

Well, it has been a while since we last visited Tristan and it took a while to get back into the complex world you have created for him, but it was certainly worth it. Another great read. 31 pages is a huge undertaking and I can certainly see why your installments are so widely separated. But that's why I have bookmarked your Profile and why I check it every couple of days!

Keep up the good work! You have moved the story a great distance and I have no idea what is in store for our hero. Don't make us way so long for the next installment!

Wonderful world, full of well written characters

The world you've created draws me in as a reader, and keeps me wanting to learn more. The characters are three dimensional where they should be, and I am quite invested in their stories. I will eagerly await the next part of Tristan's Tale, and I hope we'll get to find out more about the Odieh, Shae, and Caer'Aton.

This story has drawn me in unlike anything I have read outside of a published work, amazing how it has developed from its humble start, the characters are fantastic. I look forward to the next installment though I detected some foreshadowing that leads me to say I just may throttle you if any permanent tragedy befalls Tristan and jade.....just saying.

I have been glued to my computer all evening and well into the night reading this chapter. Actually couldn't put it down until I finished. I adore this series so much and I can't possibly contain myself until the next installment. Your world is so vivid and beautiful, with characters lovable and so developed. Well, you never cease to disappoint. I saw: 31 pages...and thought: this is going to take a while. But a good story of 31 pages sure makes time fly compared to even a poor story of 3-4 pages. But it's been a wonderful progression as you've continued to bring us, through Tristan's experiences, into this amazing world of Caer'Aton. Great imagination, wonderful story-telling, and fun adventure. Can't wait to see what happens next to Tristan, Jade, Derrick, and what Shae is ultimately going to do. Enjoy your sabbatical...hope you get energized to continue the tale. :-)

This is a story worthy of publication and I would happily recommend it. If I ever see your work on a bookshelf I would purchase it in a heartbeat. Don't stop whatever you're doing, IPD.

I can't imagine what you do in your real life if this is just a hobby. Amazing intelligence is needed to create such a wonderful world and characters.

Many have said that less the sex (which clearly we all enjoy), this could easily be a Hollywood summer blockbuster. Given the Harry Potter stories/knockoffs recently, the market would love this.

It's going to hurt to wait another 4-6 months, but it will be totally with it!!

The sex, even though downplayed and fitting, is not even part of the reason why I devour these chapters. You, Good Sir, have serious talent! If I were just a little less conceited, I suppose I could be discouraged from writing anything else. As it is, I'll just have to dabble away at my own keyboard until such time as Tristan returns take control of my mind for a time once again with Pt. 06.

Holy Fraking Shizzballs!!!!

Okay first off WOW!. Second I hate that Lit. only lets you chose one Catagory. Cause this story goes beyond Mind Control completely. It's The Magicians, meets Bleach, meets victorian fairy land, meets Lord of The Flies, meets Battle Royal, Etc. I could keep going. A rare gem in the spank bank library. This story rivals the works of Lein_Geller, Whitesabertooth, Jaz Cullen.

I write my own stories (not on Lit.) This story humbles and inspires me to write and to hope that my works are half as good as this.

Reading this story is like watching the best anime ever created. You know the type...chronicles of the protagonists inconceivably meteoric rise to achieving unimaginable power? That, but so superbly well crafted as to feel almost realistic...not that reality is much of a concept in that kick-ass world you built. Thank you for the read and I'll be looking forward to the next installment.

I really enjoyed this. Some of your writing reminds me of Gene Wolf. If you have never read any of Gene's work, I think you should. He's up there with my all time favorite authors.

This was really - really well written. My wife and are both writers ( as of now unpublished ) so I do know what I am talking about. I think with a little work this could be published.
I found this because I had read "Dream Drive" and it was a favorite of OverReds. If I had any criticism it would be on some of the description during the sex scenes but honestly.. I read it to the end and was sad to find there was no more. I hope you finish what you have started.
I think there is a tendency for writers to make characters sort of superman like now a days. I prefer my protagonists to have to earn their power. It's much more interesting to me. Who wouldn't want to be superman? And yet - he's almost too powerful. It's why batman and Spider-Man are so popular I think.
At any rate - thank you. You and OverRed make me want to write again.
