My impression of the story. 5*'s

I can see why the author placed this selection into the Loving Wife category. Reading between the lines, it looks like the heroine of the story is probably a young wife who has lost her husband due to his untimely death. Being a widow, she is remembering she times that they had together with love. She is truly a "Loving Wife" in that she loved her husband totally and fully.

Since its in the Loving wives category , I can assume she's married. Too bad. A husband needs a wife who is completely tuned in. Not pining over some previous stud who wrung her bell.

Your assumption is that she pines for a lover she lost after an affair, wasn't intended. It was place in the loving wives section because she was exactly that. A loving wife who had lost her husband and grieves for him. I leave the reader who might have some empathy with the words to decide if it was a husband lost to a rival or a bereavement.

I enjoyed your story. A woman longing after a loss regardless of how that loss came to be. Even though it's never explicitly stated, I assumed the story to be about a wife longing after the loss of her husband, but that's just where I was coming from as a reader. Keep up the good work - you have a deep insight into relationships.

A private grief, and a fond memory.

Sentimental and sobering. Yet beautiful in its love and respect for a lost soul mate, and sex partner. Perhaps they will be reunited one day. Heavenly.

This was a rather unusual LW story. I liked it , but it was almost more of an Ode to a former lover than an actual story.
