Let me tell you this story is a true diamond in the rough, absolutely sweet, romantic, heart warming, very well thought out, put together piece. Your plot line instantly drew me in, from the very first chapter all the way to the end I just could not stop reading. As a writer, you have done an amazing job capturing the reader with a balanced mixture of character development, emotion, suspence, mystery, and plot line. It's a true breath of fresh air, bravo! Truely, I am amazed that there hasn't been more kudos and comments for this story. Please don't let the lack of such discourage you, your a brilliant writer and I really enjoyed your story, keep writing.

Dead Heat is a nice story, but it is a bit sketchy. Our cop says he has learned so much from Mike, he has 'opened up', but he seemed already a nice guy to begin with. Either the cop has emotional problems and the writer eleborates on that in a full chapter, or don't mention it at all.
Also the step from a quick fuck to a romantic marriage goes really too fast for me. I am a romantic person myself, but if I married each man that fucked my ass I would have a 1000 husbands by now.
