Some comments said that the narrator tells us little if anything about his own (i.e. husband's) emotions. In my mind, hubby's emotions can be inferred from his actions or lack thereof.
When he realises the love of his life is fucking another man & enjoys every second of it, he gets mesmerized, hypnotized, paralysed & all he can do is watch. He does not know how to tell the love of his life he has just watched her having sex Brad. (BTW Brad fucked her GOOD!!!)
We must infer that the narrator is experiencing a whirlwind of emotions inside his head and all his body (chest, heart, headache, numb limbs, weakness in knees, feeling that the floor is moving from under you, & even sexual arrousal). A 5* story could have addressed the husbands emotionsl reaction, on the one hand; on the other hand, however, some readers prefer to use their imagination.
