I think you intended to say "placed it on my desk at an angle". That's just one example of why you need an editor. Spellcheck won't help you find and fix all the errors in this story. Stuff like the example makes readers have to stop and figure out what the author was intending to say. There was just too many errors to be an enjoyable read.
