Where is the ending? Does it drop off at that point? I read to the end of page three and...

Look at the title!
# Anonymous(x2): For Pete's sake, look at the title. Maybe the "1" could give you a hint that, just possibly, there might be a "2" coming sometime in the future.
The title does not have a Ch. 01 or a 1, so why think that there will be more?
The web address may have a 1 or a 2 or a 29 but that does not make it part of any other story, that only means that there is one or more than one story with that title.

What a P O O R ending.
I looked at Brenda, summarizing all I had learned about her during the last few weeks -- the last few hours, and I had to admit... What a P O O R ending.
Wonderful subtle portrayal of the ambivalent narrator -- a man in old age still full of desire, but lacking experience, and ashamed and afraid of it. And also of the direct and delightful Brenda. Finally the love of this old man for his grandchild, with the "modern parents," marvelous.If this is the end -- it's so well done it's one of those cases where less can be more. If there's more coming, so much the better.
Why assume there won't be a chapter 2. Okay. It is a weak transition, but the story is true to life. I would have liked the sex to be steamier. Too many people, maybe even the author, are just a little uncomfortable with senior sex, but seniors can be pretty sexy..
I hope the author will let go and pursue a chapter 2.
For ending this story, I expected it to be sufficient to indicate that the main character was ready to open up his mind for investing in a new relationship. Clearly I was wrong. Sorry about that…
I’m not a great fan of happy endings – live goes on, but perhaps a bit of an outlook would have been appropriate. I guess I could take it as a compliment, knowing the readers still want more… ;-)
For those who wonder:
After their safari holiday was finished, Terry’s parents came to the camping and spent the last few days in the tent, Terry stayed with Rose and Ben, and I stayed with Brenda. Debby and Collin took the kids to a theme park and on some other trips, carefully taking Terry’s conditions into account, while sharing our time at the camping pool was perfectly suitable for Brenda and me.
Shortly after the main activities of the camping-season were over, Brenda came over to visit me. Sharing the master bedroom turned out to be too much of a challenge at that time – too early. Instead, we restricted ourselves to talking and a modest hug on the sofa. But there was no such barrier in the hotel, a month later, after visiting a musical together – that time, we pulled all stops.
Although we both enjoy our time together, neither of us feels for giving up the life we were already living, so moving together is not an option – at least, not yet. Also because, after spending one, two weeks together with Brenda, I still need some time on my own. But perhaps things change when Terry starts going to secondary school, and won’t be around that much anymore…

3 pages could have been distilled to a couple of paragraphs, & then followed by a story. Instead, we got 3 pages of the great couple ( with the repressed guy) who raised selfish kids and reportedly set a record for unimaginative sex . . . but only reportedly. This site is called litEROTICa for a reason. Erotic this wasn't.

Great story -- 5
