Your writing is good. As usual. The human is nuts. I am surprised that he didn't notice the tails. You did a good job of setting up the castaway theme - the jungle, the cave; it feels distinctly primitive, although you made a point of the tech that was scattered around the cave. I suspect that the setting is not going to change in the story's foreseeable future, unless something forces them out of the cave.

You're on to an old story format, here; castaways that first have to survive three stages - each other, the environment, and then (at least in the last story of yours I read) an outside threat. You make the characters likable. You write reasonable reactions and actions - and backgrounds - for them. You are on a roll. Keep it up.

Pleasant surprise

I very much enjoyed your previous work and was very pleasantly surprised to see you had started a new project. I find the idea of a cat-like species very appealing and so am happy that you have continued in this universe. I look forward to the stories with some of the original characters. You do a great job of character development and you are defining these new ones deftly as well. I wish the names were less complicated so hopefully you will introduce simple 'nicknames' over time. Along with everyone else I welcome you back.
