This brought back memories of the late 80's, especially now that I live in Melbourne and actually know most of the locations you mentioned, especially Moonee Ponds as I now reside close to there.
This was a genuine story and well-written in my opinion, I really feel sorry for you for the way things have gone,
I am so looking forward to reading future parts.

Straight from your heart and very readable. You have an ability few have. You can write an interesting story....

So romantic

Wow, it's not often a story brings a tear to my eye but this simple tale did. I loved its slow unravelling of the storyteller's exploration and 'coming out'. I did think the implied 'she's a lesbian because her father abused her' line was unnecessary. Yes it is true that some women are turned by their experiences of abuse at the hands of men, but it's a small proportion; disproportionately used as a plot line. Most women, or at least amongst my friends, knew they were gay from as early as puberty. Celebrate it!

Honest Storytelling...

You unfold the relationship of these two women in a very honest, and unforced way. Nice job! PS: When Holly inherits the money, I believe the word you want is "exorbitant."

Loved having a location i can so easily relate to.
Whilst this story struck a nerve that brought back memories of a similar shunning from the church in my younger years, i still thoroughly enjoyed this story.
