I loved this story so much. It brought together so many different elements that melded together to bring forth a story so unique!! I want to know more about Alex and Ben as they start this new journey after finding each other again!!

God! what a world you have created! Soo good. Is there a fifteen star thing? Thank you for the creation of fantastic characters, relatable emotions and so much more. Seriously though, a question I ask myself....do I really want a follow up? I'm really in a quandary....

This was a really well written, throughly enjoyable piece of fiction. I, too, am not sure if I want Alex and Ben exploring this world or to end it just as you have. I rather wish they would return to rule the alternate universe... So if you do continue please consider!
Anyway, you are obviously talented. If it pleases you and the characters speak to you, then write. We will read!

I'm going to have to disagree with the other comments. I do like the story, and I think it has all the potential to be one of the best stories on the this site, but it needs work. Quite a bit of it actually. I would go as far as suggest that instead of writing a sequel immediately, you should rework this story first, and then continue on.
Some of the things are more technical and are fairly simple to fix, i.e. misspelling and verb agreements. However, others have to do with the story itself. You need to do a lot more world-building for it to be truly extraordinary.
Where's the background on the Wallaces and Harrises? Alexander is a spirit-kin, which implies that he's more than human. Is he? Does it mean they all are? And if so, what are they? How did they end up in human world? Did they come from the world of the war mounts? If so, how and why? Same goes for other characters. Who's Amy Welton? She calls Alexander her "heart-son," but where was she in the beginning of the story when he felt so unwanted and forgotten?
I could go on for a while, but I hope you get what I mean. Honestly, right now it almost feels like you have all of those details in your mind (which you probably do, since you created the story), and you present them as if they are self evident, but they are not. I found that I had to re-read some of the parts thinking that I missed something, and it still didn't make much sense.
Please, please don't think of this as bashing comment. I do truly think that your story has a tremendous potential, and I do hope that eventually there'll be a sequel. I hope you take this as a constructive critique given in hopes that it helps. Thank you.

Hard to respond but I loved the feedback. I want to say that I totally get that this story is a sequel and puzzle piece to a larger work/world. I appreciate seeing where I need to drop more hints in this one. I didn't want to get lost in telling a bunch of stuff but I see I need a little more info I thought I could skim the surface.

I would share the other stories but they are not gay male. :)

I loved this story and how it brushed against some of your others that are no longer here on lit. There were parts that felt like saying hello to old friends. I also thoroughly enjoyed meeting these newer characters, even if you did bring me to tears with them more than once. I can't help but wish for all of these stories to be incorporated into one big book (or a collection :) ) Please continue to weave these characters into the whole story, which I devour bit by bit as you present it.
