Brenda Carboys is a character cruel to her husband, intentionally and openly cuckolding him. He is Hobart, who admittedly--even he admits it--is rather dull. They have been married 9 years, and Brenda began cheating, first with her old boyfriend Raoul Bullhour, a photographer, then with Alpha Men and women, and now with Horse-Womyns and the special type of Horse-Womyns called "Houyhnhnms." These Horse-Womyns are those who wish to be able to penetrate their partners (Read, "The Second Sex" by Simone de Beauvoir, and read about the French lesbian who wished she could penetrate her lover, too. This is where I got the idea.). They are still women, are not transgendered; they have intact clitties and pussies--but with a grand and beautiful penis added by Dr. Dalkenshield. Here is Brenda Carboys frantic. Because the Houyhnhnm whom she has fallen in love with has not come to the rendezvous. This woman has fulfilled her wildest hopes for the satisfaction and fulfillment of desire. Here Mrs. Carboys is learning what this pain is, having never felt it before. The Houyhnhnm who has stood her up knows how to be cruel, too, and to "lead her lover on." Indeed, Mrs. Carboys hardly knows what jealousy and suffering she is about to undergo at the hands (and penis) of the beautiful thing she has fallen for. Justice? A kind of justice, yes. But Hobart Carboys is still in love with his wife... and follows her and spies on her and is abused by her. Only now, Brenda can be even more cruel to him than before as Hobart is just an annoyance to her as she pursues her Houyhnhnm.
