Basic Shadow Ch. 07

Christmas came a lot earlier

What a pleasant surprise to get up and find another chapter of this fine tale up first thing in the morning, life couldn't be better. And the whole chapter struck a lot closer to my heart of things with the computer forensics and fraud exposure, not that the previous accounting parts weren't interesting. Both investigations went well and the public recognition for Dee Dee and her firm just skyrocketed, guess work won't be hard to find after all that even if they stay at current size. Meanwhile Goeroge did well with in clothing sector and internet sales, the debt does worry me a bit though but with his sisters knowledge I expect it to be gone sooner than he expects.

I found it very cute to see those couples form in the NY team, one to serve as occasional fling with potential for more later while the other burned furnace-hot with genuine passion meant to be from the start. I just lost it when Bobby asked if he has to be her brother, the answer and the explanation just once more solidified that the MCs secret ain’t a secret at all. Another killer were Gordies lines that mimicked the ones Jim uttered in MSF Ch. 2, they stuck with me as rather oddly formulated but striking the point like a hammer. Though I did not expect him to propose so fast.

And the verbal exchange between Dee Dee and Tommy about sins meant so much more than what it appears on the first glance, love these tidbits you spread all over the place!

What else but a 5*!!!
Wish I could give you more might seem overused b y now but this chapter really does.

I had planned to wait

I was going to wait for the end before praising this but as it may carry on for a while I thought I would do so now

Loved it, light on the sex, heavy on the plot, and unfolding the story at just the right pace

And I don't know if anyone else noticed that little throwaway aside there at the end regarding the traffic cone; I'm still hoping that at some point one of the bad guys chances his arm and ends-up with an extreme insertion that either breaks him permanently, or gives him a lasting reminder of just who else he's tangling with when he takes on Dee Dee and George. We're fascinated at where this is going, just happy there's no end in sight just yet. 5 stars, and two thumbs-up!
