I agree you. Some stories are on the border of a consequence and a revenge stories, but they remain at the consequence group, as this is. I like the Consequence stories as well. BTW 5 stars.

How to be Revenge Story?

For example to be a Romantic Revenge story the Author must have written a longer sequel, where the exhusband finds a good Second Chance woman and the exwife finds a abuser (violance, serial cheater, drug-alcohol, criminal, etc...) and accidentaly informaton change.........

Consequence Story Revenge Story border

Sometime a flash story may be a super revenge story, as Seurat's Romantic Revenge Story "Homecoming Call" or on the Lit LW hub the best Revenge Story (according to me) Vulcez "How Are You?". Both stories are similar, because the BTB happened with telephon conversations.
In BeerMaker's story "Dawn A Cheating Slut Wife", the BTB happened similar to this story in a show for strangers with excellent (Oscar awwarded) role plays from the husbands and the children. However the story got a epiloge, where the readers get information about the future, so that story went through the Consequence story Revenge story border to the Revenge story group:
1. The wife lost her job.
2. The exwife lost the connection from the other cheater fellows.
3. The exwife lost her children hearts, moreover she lost total her son's heart.
4. The exhusband got settlement from the court for the bastard production.
5. He got settlement from the company, wheref his exwife had werked.

It's always amazing

how women commit adultery and then say "I never meant to hurt you" when caught. Of course they didn't. What did they think would happen when the affair became known?

Why bother with semantics revenge or consequence story

When looking at revenge vs consequence one is thoughtful and deliberate with malice intended (revenge). The other consequence could be the natural order of things in that every action has a consequence since it is so common place in all our lives it is hardly material for a good story. If the story is action with intent to cause the predicted outcome or consquence now that literary merit. All that said my feeling is in this story it is revenge clear and simple. The malice is the embarassment for both parties caught in thier adulterous actions in front of family and friends. Sweet revenge,
since you noticed the adulters didn't partake in any of the catered food.
Oh an I have zero ounce of compassion or pity for the two adulterers (may there offsping in their next marriages flee their respective homes at any early age).

Really Excellent Story

I never commented on this one because I read it before I started commenting on the work. It is probably one of the smoothest one pagers that has been posted here.
The beer offer was great. The speed with which Emily fell for Ross`s line would win a Grand Prix race, and the author managed to get all the cheating wife clichés on the map.... Great.

Just one time I would like to read one of these stories were not only the guy doing the cheating wife gets his ass thoroughly kicked by the husband being cheated on, but also the cheating wife gets her ass thoroughly kicked by the wife being cheated on.

One of my all time favorites

I first read this at least 5 or more years ago, and kept forgetting who wrote it or what its name was. I think it kept me a Literotica reader. Some people really dont know who they are marrid to, but he knew to the last ounce and paid her back as she deserved, and the act of revenge was perfectly balanced.
