This is a WELL WRITTEN story. In my mind, the author has intentionally put the emphasis on how the experience affects the psyche of the wife (she is really enjoying sex with David but she knows she is testing her husband's hetherto-unconditional love.)

The marriage is SOLID & will survive.
I think the "date" with David has solidified their marriage.
In the worst-case scenario, they will occasionally let other men into the marriage. Why not?

Great story. Personally, I like the stories wherein the wife is reluctant, but gives in for the husband. Also, I would suggest a bit more details about the sex, etc. Not sure if you even mentioned about the woman losing her top/bra or the man stripping......much less something like the woman "gasping out loud at the size of his shaft" etc.
