WOW after reading the comments yesterday I thought I'd wait before reading this trash, but clearly an 'author' and I use that term loosely allows comments, can't handle the truth and deletes them. 1* TRASH
Before you congratulate yourself on your pithy comment . . .
Please leave another comment, and not anonymously, so I can read your work. I don't like anonymous comments. It's like yelling at somebody when you're in a car. Let me see your stories so I can critique your work.
Why do you allow anonymous comments if you don't like them? All you have to do is check a box. I'm not anonymous and never have been, but I admire the authors who allow them. Sorry, you won't be able to critique my stories.
Anonymous comments are not a problem. Look at the anonymous comments on some top stories in the genre. They are probably ninety percent, or more, positive.
The problem is your story. It's the characters you wrote. They are, universally, despicable. That's why you get the anonymous hate comments. Write a character that people want to root for, give her or him a nice life, balanced justice, don't make him or her a drug user, a pain queen or a rapist and you'll get nice comments. Or, make all your characters total douche bags and get the sort of comments you've been getting. Either way, you're the one to blame, not the commentators. You get what YOU choose, based on the story you write. Sorry, didn't read or rate your story. The tags were enough for me.
You are right. My character that I chose in this story is not that compassionate, but you will see that (if you read it) the third installment it all changes. So if people are looking for a happy story in installment two, they are not going to find it.
I appreciate your comment and the fact that you chose not to comment anonymously. I will check the box going forward.

Bit combative, there, aren't you?

Guilty as charged
