Great and fun story!

This has been a funny story, very romantic and with all the handicaps that can lead to the fact that both were military and that Lin was an officer and Andy only a corporal.

Big surprise with David, who would have guessed he was gay?

Too bad the story is over, or maybe not?

5 * for you.

I apologize for my English (yet and forever), isn't my native language.

Really Enjoyed It

Like all your stories this was a pleasure to read. Loved the characters and the few twists that you threw in. 5 stars without hesitation. Thank you.

Really fun read

They need more like this on the site and less of the rude and crude.

Thank you for the story.

Up there

There has been a dearth of really good stories on this crappy site (I know: hypocritical lol) of late, with the exception of maybe a couple of others. This was top notch. My late cousin was a sergeant in the SAS in Hereford yonks ago. His hilarious exploits mirrored some or anecdotal stuff you have written about. Tying in the romance, this was one of the best stories I've read in ages and compares favourably to those of Adrian Leverkuhn. The accent is undeniably British. Well done!

More excellent writing from Androgynousother

Without being weird I've followed your work from the first. Always hot, romantic, well paced fiction that is a pleasure to read.

Sex without smut, relationships that are believable and great characters. Please keep it up.

From such an in hurried start it was stirring too the loins but also entertaining right through out the dialog ,simply captivating almost super ,but then I'm an old romantic..

So many difficulties

I'm sad they had to endure such anger and hatred. But happy they had so supportive a family support system.

I Liked This Story A Lot

I commented after the first chapter but I do want to add this. In my 1st tour of Vietnam, one of the guys in my platoon had the last name of Sargent. At the time he was a PFC, private first class. Of course he heard it every day, "PFC Sargent" this, or "PFC Sargent" that. I never thought about how tiresome all that BS must have been for him until I read this story. Unfortunately PFC Sargent didn't make it back to

"the world" alive. RIP, PFC Sargent, 2 Mar. 1969, Quang Nam Province, I Corps, RVN.

Wonderful!

A lovely story.

In the real world not as unusual as it used to be.

The basic rule is not in the same chain of command.

Generally if one party gets a transfer to another unit then nothing is said.

There are some units a bit stuffier than others about it.

Liked the way you write and the sex is part of the story not simply the reason FOR the story.

Great Story

this is 1 of best stories I have read. I am a retired Staff Sergeant and Vietnam Veteran from The Australian Army and whilst I was happily married to a great civilian lady I can understand and appreciate what your story was about and what Andy and Lin would have gone through.

A great story.

10 years a medal for gallantry and still a corporal (E4). Promotion must be very slow in the British Army.

GREAT!

Loved every bit of it. Not overly done. Everything was done to the nine as you folks say. Just wanna ask one thing. Was their age 38 at the time of this story?

Damned Good

It strolls off the page in a fully understandable manner (I'm ex-military),

In short, it's a bloody good story.

Thank You

I enjoyed the story very much. I come from a military family and know the problems. In my day (over 50 years ago) even officers wives couldn’t fraternise with other ranks wives, so this wouldn’t have been remotely possible. It’s a good thing that times have changed.

Good yarn especially of the British military and its structural constraints , and it’s ending with the lovers finally getting together in mid life.

Let's not kid ourselves, I write long stories with happy endings - whatever section they're uploaded to, and my characters tend to drink tea and eat bacon and egg sandwiches, might as well tell you now. If you don't like my characters or what they do, please remember they are...
