A steel-jawed poem
about a frightening situation. Sometimes an unwavering smile is medicine, even if we'd rather cry.
Strength.......
...in horrifying situations makes humour possible. This siimple, gentle prayer for recovery from cancer is very poignant.
Took me two reads
to get this wholly, not because of you but because the poem deserves a thoughtful reading. It says a great deal in few words, which is imo very very good. The juxtaposition of the familiar and the frightening is what really makes it special, I think. :)
