I will be reviewing this in the new poems review
just say no to thermometers
..very much. great imagery. my favorite part:
arid seeds of fire
naked
in praise of the blood
*sheesh...forgot to rate it...a definite 5.
you always write splendidly, but this was a bit different, in my opinion. Stunning work, L.
I truly enjoyed how the poem flows and the image of the fall to earth is provoked.
...this very much. A beautiful concept done simply, without a wasted word.
One of the scariest poems I have read. Plus no one seems to be alerted: “in praise of the blood/ and the mud / and the simplest things on earth” ??? Sure sounds like a Fascist poetry if I have ever seen one (even if unintended, or unknowingly by name to the author). ************************* I am just the messenger. Look up the motives themes and symbols of Fascism in art.
