And so it begins,
in small minds, in dark alleyways, until enough gather together that they can hide their faces among the crowd. Thank you for shining a light.

I think....
...you did as much justice to Kitty as words could possibly do. I read all the inhumaity poems before commenting on any, and I am so pleasantly surprised to see so many poets choose singular incidents -- the story of Kitty Genovese, the effects of Nothern Ireland on one man alone, the gang fight no one has ever read or heard about -- rather than H bombs. I enjoyed this poem, words of the saturated evils of the indifference of every day people, very much.

I remember
reading about this.
the indifference was as horrible as the crime.
Thank you for making me remember
you did her justice
i think this was wonderful!
i think this one placed me there, it gave her a face, it could have been my friend, my neighbor, my sister, or even me.
what a sad thing indifference is..and it only breeds more indifference.
very nicely done! ty
justice
is served in the guilt and horror of the realization that they let this happen.
Inhumanity or woefully human?
!
Wow, Deep! Why were you afraid to write this? You did a terriffic job! Thanks, so much for this!
You did
... a great job!!
I loved the flow of this one. The peeping tom's... 'someone else will call...'
Loved it. ;-)
A strong poem,..
.....a terribly sad story. I looked this up to find the news coverage. It was international news but then, it is an international flaw - a human flaw. I don't use the thermometer
