Why bother sending him out the back? She drank all night, suspects he's been cheating, and sounds like she doesn't care - up to hearing the car. I'd say she wanted the confrontation and wanted to give hubby shit over neglecting her.

The last two lines alone made the entire story worth reading, at least for me.

That should be the spur to for her to sort her life out, hopefully there's another chapter to read how.
