LOL
Been there... hehee
I'm going to remember this one >^..^
for some reason
this conjures up images for me: (nicely done)
"Like a lead pipe with wings
It keeps flying along"
ka-dunk, ka-dunk, ka-dunk
I find the best metaphors in life in old movies...
lately, I've been watching the three stooges
Same-o, same-o... but you gotta lie!
"Yeah, the earth moved, (whutever)."
You set me up nicely for the old cliches, and popped it again in the middle verse. While the end had the "choir of angels", it didn't have the same feeling of an "aside".

Hey! You aren't that jaded are you?
Good poem that addresses a place that we've all been. Sigh. I'm still betting on the earth moving tho...
Good use of the typical with the less typical.
me too
felt that way plenty, and everytime I see the words drowning in passion, fire in his/her eyes, splayed, glistening thighs, silky thighs, moist thighs, running down her thighs........I enjoyed this poem a lot, made me smile :)
